My name is Richard Edward Ward.

For more than fifty years, as a Spiritual Explorer, I have been exploring many of the spiritual dimensions of life through study, practice, healing, and personal experience, all part of my ongoing journey of Reconnecting with Spirit. I was born in 1948, so perhaps it has been even longer.

My journey as a Spiritual Explorer has included studying Theology at McGill University while working as a bouncer in a bar on Crescent Street and contemplating becoming an Anglican priest.

It also led me to work as a special assistant to a federal cabinet minister in Ottawa, and later to study Communication Arts at Loyola College (now part of Concordia University), followed by years of exploring and practicing Reiki, Science of Mind, Tibetan Buddhism, Feng Shui, the I Ching, Core and Celtic Shamanism, Kabbalah, and many other traditions.

I was born in Montreal, Quebec, and lived in Oakville, Brockville, Toronto, Ottawa, and Halifax, as well as travelling extensively throughout Canada and the US. I have lived in Newcastle Upon Tyne and London, England; Tangier, Morocco, and Beijing, China.

Looking back, it may seem like an unusual path. To me, it was simply the next step in a lifelong journey of curiosity, exploration, and Reconnecting with Spirit.

Along the way, I’ve also collected a lifetime of stories. Some are profound, some are amusing, some are unexpected, and many have quietly shaped the way I see the world.

You’ll also meet a few longtime companions on this journey. Tydbyte, LookSee, and the Circumpunct have each been travelling with me for many years. They represent different ways of exploring, seeing, and expressing the wonder, mystery, and interconnectedness of life. Over time, you’ll come to know them as naturally as I have.

This podcast is one of the places where I’ll be sharing those stories, along with reflections, recordings, meditations, readings, and the occasional Mind Bubble that surfaces along the way.

My hope is simply to offer my experience, strength, hope, and a little curiosity to fellow travellers who are interested in Reconnecting with Spirit and exploring the richness of life.
